In September 2024, in response to the call of the Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Zhejiang Private Enterprises Foundation Alliance, the PROYA Foundation, alongside various benevolent organizations, participated in activities aimed at promoting the high-quality development of mountainous counties in Lishui City, specifically Yunhe County and Jingning County. Upon returning to Hangzhou, the PROYA Foundation team quickly initiated contact with the local education authorities. After detailed communication and needs assessment, the foundation returned to Jingning to carry out a series of educational assistance activities.

I. Rewarding and Supporting Impoverished Youth

On the afternoon of October 22, the PROYA Foundation team, accompanied by leaders from Jingning County, visited Chengbei Middle School and held a donation ceremony. A scholarship fund of RMB 100,000 was established to help students from economically disadvantaged families complete their education. The PROYA Foundation also plans to launch an employee volunteer one-on-one assistance program, providing long-term support to students in particularly difficult circumstances.

II. School-Home Collaboration for Mental Health

The PROYA Foundation donated psychological support equipment and original books such as "It's Not Your Fault - A Healing Guide for the Aftermath of School Bullying" to parents and the school, aiming to enhance the schools' psychological counseling capabilities. Both parties engaged in an in-depth exchange on the topic of mental health. Fang Qinwei, the Secretary-General of the foundation, mentioned that PROYA has also made significant efforts in public welfare initiatives related to adolescent mental health and anti-bullying in schools. In the future, there is potential for collaboration in areas such as home-school cooperation, including resource sharing and psychological training.

III. Supporting Young Explorers Through Study Tours

On the second day, the PROYA Foundation team visited Shawan Town Primary School and signed a three-year study tour support plan, which includes supporting one team each year to travel to Hangzhou for a study tour. They also donated learning and sports supplies. This initiative aims to broaden students' horizons, foster ndependence, and inspire them to pursue their dreams through their own efforts via the Dream House project.

In recent years, thanks to the attention from the county party committee and government, as well as external resource support, the education landscape in Jingning County has undergone a remarkable transformation. The PROYA Foundation's visit was not only a valuable learning experience for the team, but also a journey to sow hope. We look forward to seeing children in rural areas, supported by all sectors of society, bravely pursue their dreams and become backbones of their communities. PROYA Foundation will continue to focus on and support educational development in Jingning, working together to create a brighter future.
